Make It Village will provide classroom and on the job training curated to reach: Adults with children, Seniors, Art lovers, Gardeners, Foodies, Artisans, Designers, Artisans in training, Film Studios, Filming Communities, Adventure Seekers, Professionals, Students, Families of MD Roberts and Kay R Pace School of the Arts, patrons to the International Park, and Small-town enthusiasts. 

Creative Writing

Learn the art of storytelling with creative writing. Become adept at writing for many multimedia platforms, from TV & film to games & comics.

Gardening

Garden therapy in a supportive and safe environment can be a source of motivation that promotes inclusion, rebuilds community connections, and empowers through hands-on learning.

Learn from local artists and educators in all types of 2D media; including, watercolor, graphite, acrylic, oil, and more.

Budding chefs and food enthusiasts will love to try our Cooking Classes! In our Little Chef cooking class, kids get the chance to create in a more relaxed environment.

Creative Movement

 Creative Movement is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music and dance. Your child will work on developing physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and creativity. (This class is perfect for children ages 2-6)

Crafting

Learn leather crafts, beginner hand sewing, Jewelry Making,  and quilting, light embroidery, gift wrapping (Holiday Only!)

Acting

Develop acting abilities using scene study, script analysis, and character development techniques. Available for students of all ages.

Make-up

Get step-by-step make-up tutorials for eyes, brows, lips, foundation, and more. Learn matching skin tone to foundation shade and skincare techniques.

Pottery and Ceramics

Offerings include Handbuilding, Pottery on the Wheel, Figure Sculpting, and Solo Studio Time. Learn from local artists and educators to create functional pieces or a work of art!

Sessions are for all skill levels and ages.  Students learn new chords and techniques in the first half of the session and jam during the second half of the session.

Carpentry

Our hands-on classes and lectures will help you increase your woodworking knowledge. Offerings change from month to month. Classes include basic woodworking, carving, turning, and finishing, as well as special lectures and classes with well-known woodworking teachers.
